History

WeCP was founded in 2016 by Abhishek Kaushik and Mohit Goyal in Bangalore, Karnataka. The company initially focused on developing technical skill assessments for recruitment. Over time, WeCP expanded its offerings to include AI-driven test generation, competency analysis, and proctoring services.

By 2018, WeCP expanded its offerings to include role-specific assessments and competency-based evaluations. In 2020, WeCP introduced AI-powered proctoring and skill gap analysis features to enhance security and accuracy in online assessments. By 2023, the company launched WeCP AI, an automated system for designing expert-level skill assessments based on simple text prompts.

In 2025, WeCP introduced an AI Companion for candidate follow-ups, expanded English Pro to all language domains, enhanced ATS integration, and improved HR workflows, assessment templates, and test library management.
