Wake tv
WAKE TV is a completely student-run television station on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, USA. WAKE TV operates out of one studio located in the basement of Carswell Hall on the Reynolda Campus of Wake Forest University. WAKE TV is broadcast across campus on cable channel 6 and also on its main website, [www.waketv6.com]. Shows include WAKE TV News, Sportsline, Too Close to Call, Say it Loud, and Mind Games. All shows are produced by groups of students.
Administration
The President of WAKE TV is Michael Marks. Vice Presidents are Brent Lindley, Alex Dalgliesh, Shaney Soderquist, Tyler Pruitt, and Monteia Mundy. The faculty adviser is Steve Jarrett, Supervisor of Media Production in the Communication Department at Wake Forest University. Wake TV's non-faculty adviser is Lee White, an associate of Clark-Powell.
WAKE TV News
WAKE TV News is the flagship show of WAKE TV and a primary news source for the campus of Wake Forest University. The show is filmed once a week and broadcast daily. Campus residents are able to watch Wake TV News on channel 6 nightly at 6:00 and on the WAKE TV website at any time.
WAKE TV News operates as most network news shows do, featuring segments of sports, weather, special reports, entertainment, world news, and community exploration (the latter is creatively titled "What's Up Winston-Salem"). Anchors for WAKE TV News include the following students:

Field reporters include Holly Austin, Cassie Hansen, Annalaissa Johnson, Carson Capshaw-Mack, Caroline Sutton, Nirali Parikh, Sarah Nick, and Kendall Hack.
WAKE TV News is directed by Courtlyn Reeves, assisted by Courtland Jaffe; associate producers are Mary Catherine Lindsay and Katherine Taylor.
News focuses on campus occurences and events.
The show's popularity greatly increased during the Fall 2008 Semester and continues to grow. Membership on the show's staff consists of twenty-eight people, quite a growth from six members during the Fall 2007 - Spring 2008 season.
Too Close to Call
Too Close to Call is a political talk show featuring round table discussion between show producer and host, Kris Wampler, and other students of various political thoughts. The show recently peaked during the 2008 election and is expected to continue its growth. The original cast/co-founders includes Joseph Adams, Ryan Taggett, and Elise Pallais.
Special InterViews
WAKE TV enjoys numerous opportunities to speak in-depth with an eclectic group of leaders from around the world. In Spring 2009, News Anchor Alex Dalgliesh spoke extensively with Google Vice President of People Operations, Laszlo Bock. In the same time period, News Director Courtlyn Reeves hosted WFU Men's Basketball Coach Dino Gaudio for a thirty-three minute interview focusing on the lifestyle and leadership characteristics of Wake's head coach.
