Vaziri Family
This article concerns the Vaziri Family that has roots in Kermanshahan.
History of the Family
They're one of the Iranian noble families. They reigned during the Safavid, Ottoman, Afshar and Qajar dynasties. They're descendants of Mirza Mehdi Khan Astarabadi who was a Prime Minister under the Afsharid Dynasty, so when the Qajars came into power, them and the family of Mirza Mehdi Khan were allies because they were both against the Zands. The Vaziri family, descendant of Mirza Mehdi Khan Astarabadi was like so, melanged with some Qajar families in Kermanshahan, for example the Dowlatshahi family, the Heshmatzad family, the Jahansouz family, the Shahzadeh Naderi family. Each one of the Vaziri family members was one of the few Viziers (Ministers) that reigned under the Qajar Dynasty. Each member of the Vaziri family was at the pre-pahlavi era the King of his province; under the King of Kings in the persian hierarchy system. During the Qajar era, they played great roles in the Constitutional Revolution of Iran and became also deputies, members of the First Parliament of Persia. We know that from the 10th century until nowadays, they've had The Title of Prince (Amirzadeh and Khanzadeh) 1 2 and before this, they were an important bureaucratic family of Astarabad. 34

Family Tree
Astarabadi is the son of Mirza Nassir Astarabadi. His son became Vizier and was named Mirza Bozorg-e-Vazir by the King. This one's sons were Mirza Muhammad Nami and Mirza Ahmad Mostofi. Mirza Ahmad Mostofis' sons were Mirza Zenool Abedin; Mirza Ali Niai Sherafat-Vaziri and Mirza Bagher-e-Mostofi. This one had four sons; two of these became great respected and noble families. One of the family was the Mostowfi Ol-mamalek s and the other one was the Vaziris.
On the right page, Mirza Nassir Khan at the top, Mirza Mehdi Khan Astarbadi just under him (his son) and then the page get separated in two important families; The Ol-Mamaleks and The Vaziris;

At the top; Mirza Abolghassem Khan Vaziri, his sons under him (from left to right); Mirza AbdolRahim Vaziri, Mirza Javad Khan Banan-ed-Dowleh Vaziri; Mirza Abdollah Khan Moshkat Ol-Molk Vaziri, Mirza Ahmad Khan Vaziri Motazed-Dowleh; Mirza Ali Akbar Khan Vaziri; Fezollah Khan Vaziri; Mirza Mahmoud Khan Banan-ol-Molk Vaziri.
Mirza Javad Khan Bananed-Dowleh Vaziri had a descendance constituted of Morteza Khan, Touraj, Homayoon, Ali, Abar.
Mirza Abdollah Khan Meshkated-Dowleh- Vaziri had a descendance constituted of Parviz Khan, Iraj Khan, Muhammad Khan. Iraj Khan had a descendance constituted of Farahbakhsh Vaziri, Farrokh Vaziri, Fateh Vaziri, Pooya Vaziri, Nima Vaziri, Nami Vaziri.
Mirza Ahmad Khan Vaziri Motazed-Dowleh had a descendance constituted of Ardeshir Khan, Siavosh Khan, Mirza Mehdi Khan Motazed-Dowleh 2nd, Bahman Khan, Gholam Reza Khan, Hooshang Khan, Ali Assghar Khan, Abolghassem Khan Vaziri, Shahin Vaziri, Cyrus William Vaziri, Shahrokh Vaziri, Kaveh Vaziri.
Titles
The titles that the family have are "Mirza", diminutive of Amir Zadeh (meaning Prince; highest nobility rank)
and "Khan", known as "king" of a province, in this case, it was western Persian Empire (can be translated as Prince, highest sovereignty title, after King).
By getting married with the Qajar families quoted at the beginning, they also got the title of "Shahzadeh" meaning Prince in the sense of "from the Royal Family".
Different personal titles that had members of the family were "Monshi-ol-Mamalek"(Mirza Mehdi Khan Astarabadi), "Motazed-Daftar", "Motazed-Dowleh", "Meshkated-Dowleh".
Residences, Properties
After having resided in castles in Astarabad and Kermanshah, Vaziri family was separated and part of them went to live in Shemiran, Tehran, Iran. Nowadays, they can be found in Tehran, United States and Europe. They used to own a lot of lands in northern and western Iran, and also in Tehran; including a great part of Sa'adat Abad; until the day the Qajar Dynasty fell and the Pahlavis took aristocrats' lands out of their possession. In Kermanshah, a roundabout and a school are called Vaziri in honor of this family.
Political Opinion
Vaziris have always been constitutionalists; partisans of democracy and actors in the Constitutional Revolution of Iran. They also used to be Freemasons.
