Unmani Liza Hyde

Unmani (meaning 'beyond the mind') is an English non-dual spiritual teacher, author of two books and columnist for a Dutch non-dual magazine.

Biography

Since Unmani (born Liza Hyde) was a child, she has never identified with being a separate individual. She always felt deeply at one with life . But as her environment did not reflect this Oneness, she felt lost and alone, as if she had been dropped on an alien planet. Truth was her only passion and reason for living. She spent years traveling around the world in search of the truth.

Unmani was inspired by Osho (Bagwan Shree Rajneesh), Tony Parsons, Nathan Gill, Gangaji and Zen master Dolano. With Dolano, a disciple of Papaji, who was a devotee of the neo-advaita and non-dual master Ramana Maharshi, Unmani finally woke up out of self-doubt and confusion. She acknowledged her true nature as that same Oneness that she had always known since she was a child.

Unmani is married and has a son.

Teaching

Unmani points to the lived paradox of Life itself expressing itself as this individual person in the world. She supports the inquiry into the nature of thought and it’s tricks . Unmani has been holding live and online satsang meetings, Spiritual Awakening weekends and (silent) intensive spiritual retreats since 2003 .
