University Institute of Engineering & Technology, University Campus
The University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mahrshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, abbreviated as UIET, MDU, Rohtak, is an engineering and technology institute of MDU, Rohtak, India. It was started in 2005 as a dream of Dr. R. S. Dhankar (ex-vice-chancellor) to have an own Engineering College of the University.
The University is situated at Rohtak, a rapidly growing town and district headquarters AbOUT 75 km from Delhi on the Delhi-Hissar National Highway (NH-10). It is at a distance of about 240 km from Chandigarh, the State Capital. It is well connected by rail and road. Rohtak is educationally a very forward town, where facilities of education in all fields are available. Besides the Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, there are many degree, dental, education, computer, engineering and management institutes in Rohtak city.

The city of Rohtak is fast developing as an educational as well as an industrial hub, providing opportunities for people and for industries.
The Industrial Model Township (IMT) is a township being developed by Haryana Govt. The IMT Rohtak would come up in an area of 3,000 acres and the corporation has already acquired more than 1,000 acres. The IMT-Rohtak basic infrastructure is being developed by L&T Constructions and GMR, the leading companies in their field.
Asian Paints is Asia's largest plant at IMT-Rohtak. Asian Paints in its first phase had invested Rs 875 crore, ensuring direct and indirect employment for 1,500 persons at this plant.
The Indian School Of Business (ISB) is also being proposed at IMT-Rohtak.
The Indian Institute of Management has also been started in Rohtak, and will be functional from the 2010 session.
The Lotte Group of Korea has applied for an allotment of 25 acres at the IMT to develop a confectionery unit. The HSIIDC is processing the request.
State Govt. has offered land to Maruti to set up there R & D center in the IMT Rohtak, all this give clues that there will be a lot of job opportunities in this developing education city.
