Uniesse

Uniesse Marine Group, LLC is an American manufacturer of luxury motor yachts founded in 1990. The company headquarters moved to Miami after its acquisition of Uniesse Marine S.P.A of Italy. Under the tenure of investors David A. Schwedel and Rafael Barca, Uniesse has embarked in a new approach to the design of luxury motor yachts through innovation.

History

Uniesse was originally launched in Italy in 1990 by two brothers, Danielo and Giuseppe Scaburri. The Scaburri family was known in Europe as a notable manufacturer of wooden buttons since World War II. Then, Uniesse turned to resin as button material over time. Today, this background inspires Uniesse in using the same polymer material to maintain the finish of its models' gelcoat. After 29 years of worlwide operations, the company was acquired by the Miami-based Uniesse Marine Group, LLC, led by SMB investor David Schwedel. Rafael Barca introduced Uniesse to the U.S. market in 1994 with the sale of approximately 200 motor yachts before acquisition. The boats received detailed reviews from several magazines including the Boat, Power, Yacht and Boat and Motoryacht magazines. Many models of Uniesse's boats and yachts also received in-depth coverage in the Yachting Magazine.

Models and designers

With administrative offices in Miami, Florida, and manufacturing facilities in Pisa, Italy, Uniesse products are American designed, Italian built, and fully hand-crafted by a team of Uniesse stakeholders. Uniesse vessels include motor yachts (53 feet to 105 motor yachts), open models (42 to 57 feet), hard-top (54 to 75 feet), and sport models (55 feet to 101 Sport). Uniesse principal designer was Fred Hudson, known as one of America’s most notable automotive and boat designers. His input has been essential in the evolution of the vessels appearances and how they operate in action. Uniesse yachts are certified by key international shipping standards.
