TSI Inc

TSI Incorporated designs and manufactures precision instruments used to measure flow, particulate, and other key parameters in environments. The company was founded in 1961 when a group of University of Minnesota engineering graduates pooled their expertise to solve the problem of making accurate flow measurements in turbulent combustion. The first TSI particle instrument debuted in 1966.

TSI now has a worldwide presence with over 400 employees working in facilities in North America and Europe and Asia. TSI corporate office and manufacturing is located at Shoreview, MN, a surburb in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. TSI has sales and service offices in Aachen, Germany; Marseille, France; Arlanda Stad, Sweden; High Wycombe, United Kingdom; Beijing, China, and Bangalore, India.

TSI annual sales exceed 100 million U.S. dollars in 2006. Current main product lines include aerosol instruments such as Condensation Particle Counter; respirator fit testing instrument such as PORTACOUNT; ventilation test instruments; and fluid mechanics instrument such as Particle Image Velocimetry and Laser Doppler Velocimetry.
