Ottawa Knights
Ottawa Knights is a Canadian competitive baseball club, consist of players from the Ottawa area, formed in 1992. There are 3 teams, a 15U team, a 16U team, and a 19U team.
This season, the Knights will be playing spring ball in the Canadian Showcase Baseball League in southern Ontario and summer ball in the Northeast Conference of The New York American Legion Baseball League. They will also be participating in at least 6 tournaments this season with a strong focus in entering the Knights in top tournaments in the United States. The team has enjoyed some outstanding successes over the years with this format by winning the American Legion Season Championship 4 times and several U.S. Tournaments while placing well in many others. They have participated in tournaments in New York state (New York City 3 times), Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Vermont, Connecticut and as far away as Florida (3 times) and Tennessee to name a few and continue to look for new opportunities.
The basic strength of the Knights’ program is the dedicated and experienced volunteer coaching staff and team of instructors who have the technical expertise necessary to help raise the skill level of any player who has the talent and desire to bring their game to a higher level. Since their inception, the Knights are proud to have had 15 players offered substantial scholarships to various U.S Colleges and Universities and 3 players drafted in the major league draft. They are also proud of the numerous former players who graduate from our program, each and every year, and play Canadian University ball.
However, they believe the greatest testament to the success of the Knights program are countless players who have continued to play baseball as adults and many of these players make sure they thank the Knights for the wonderful experience of being a Knight and instilling a life long love of the game.
This year, the coach for the 19U team will be David Dunn. The coach for the 16U team will be Adam Salter. The coach for the 15U team will be Ryan Dillon. Along with those coaches, will be various other pitching coaches helping out.
