Tribold is the world’s leading provider of Enterprise Product Management (EPM) software specifically developed for Communication Service Providers (CSPs). Tribold EPM is a single, integrated suite of Enterprise Product Management applications.
Tribold EPM is based on a Centralized Product & Service Catalog (CPC) and a Product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.
Headquartered in London, United Kingdom and with offices in North America and Asia, Tribold was founded in 2003 and is a Privately held company.
History
Tribold Limited was established in October 2003 by a few ex-Accenture Communications executives. It was founded as a commercial off-the-shelf software company to deliver a Product Catalog/Product Lifecycle solution for the Communication Service Providers (‘CSP’) market. The Product Catalog/Product Lifecycle is an emerging market that Tribold has played a significant role in defining – it was the first dedicated software company in this space.
In 2004, Tribold launched the first generally available version of software for this market, Tribold Product Portfolio Manager (‘PPM’). On the back of this launch, in 2005 the company was able to secure its first institutional investment from Eden Ventures. In 2006, Tribold contracted with its first major Tier 1 customer, Telstra in Australia, and this was closely followed by its first major European Tier 1 customer, Telekom Austria. In 2007 it also secured a US$15million institutional funding round from Draper Fisher Jurvetson Esprit and Eden Ventures. The period from 2007 through to 2010 saw Tribold add further Tier 1 customers throughout the world. Then, in 2009, it entered into another institutional funding round and secured a further US$11million from Draper Fisher Jurvetson Esprit, Eden Ventures and Intel Capital.
