Critical reception
10TopTenReviews reviewed Touch Hockey: FS5, concluding "We found Touch Hockey: FS5 simple, yet amusing and great two-player fun. We like the fact that it’s free, but like most players we wish there was a low-priced option available that was ad free. Although this game can’t get your blood pumping like the real game, it does get your finger moving and brings out your competitive side, making you want to play and play till you can beat all of your friends." AppSpy gave it 3 out of 5, writing "Touch Hockey FS5 is a well developed, rounded air-hockey game with no hidden surprises and is worth the current price." Modojo gave the game 2/5, writing "Touch Hockey is fun for a little while, but accidental goals, annoying ads and a much slower two-player mode make it more curiosity than must play. Seeing as how developers update these apps on a regular basis, perhaps FlipSide5 will fix some of the issues to alleviate our frustration."
AddVee gave Touch Hockey Extreme: FS5 a score of 4.6/5, writing " Touch Hockey was a great game for the iPhone and I would say is one of my personal favorites. The game was a great way to show off your phone to your friends and enjoy a quick game against a computer. Well now they have released a version for iPad with updated graphics and features that is doing the same thing for this next generation in gaming." AppPicker said " The Touch Hockey Extreme app for your iPad may not be the most impressive-looking or -responding air hockey app out there but it is good for some laughs and thanks to the multiplayer mode can be enjoyed with friends."
Apple'N'Apps gave Touch Hockey 2 a score of 3.5/5, writing "Touch Hockey 2 (Free, iPhone / Free, iPad) is worth picking up, and is easily the best air hockey game in the App Store. The IAP coins drag down the overall experience, and air hockey can only do so much on iOS. Still though, Touch Hockey 2 will offer a lot of simple and straightforward enjoyment under multiple circumstances."
