Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival
The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) is an annual film festival held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It screens films from Canada and other countries. TINFF is also a qualifying festival for the Canadian Screen Awards and collaborates with national institutions such as Telefilm Canada.
History
The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) began its activities on 1 October 2016, founded by Isioro T. Jaboro. In 2024, it became an official member of Telefilm Canada and a qualifying festival for the Canadian Screen Awards.
The festival is held annually from 6 September to 13 September in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It invites selected filmmakers to present their works in official cinema screenings, and Panel Discussions are organized with the participation of members of the global film industry. In addition, the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) collaborates with the Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival (BINFF) through shared advisory board appointments and joint industry initiatives in Canada, and also maintains a partnership with Blue Pictures Entertainment in Nigeria.
