Toonami hosts
Toonami is Cartoon Network's primary action-animation block. Since the 1997, the network has used the concept of an animated 'host' for the show, doing lead ins for the various cartoons, performing their own skits, or involved with 'producing' the show itself (a bit of metafiction. The first host was Moltar from Space Ghost Coast to Coast
Moltar
Moltar was the first host of Toonami and was in that role from 1997-1999. The character originally appeared in Space Ghost and Dino Boy as one of the Space Ghost's enemies.
The TOM Robots
TOM is an ongoing host from Toonami that has hosted since July 10, 1999. TOM has been rebuilt 3 times. T he first two TOM's were replaced because both of them got killed. TOM1 got killed by the blob in Toonami's mini-series that aired in September 2000 for 8 days called Toonami: The Intruder. TOM1 got killed in episode 4 of The Intruder and was replaced by TOM2 as seen in episode 5 of The Intruder. He is also the mascot of Toonami.
TOM 1
The very first TOM ever seen. He is very short robot that is more like a baby verison of TOM. He lived in the Ghost Planet Spaceship Absolution by himself until September 2000 when he was hooked up with a hologram named SARA. He had a violet-like visor with a gray suit and a puny body, medium arms, and a helmet. He was killed by the intruder in Toonami: The Intruder.
Hosting Period: July 10, 1999-September 22, 2000
TOM 2
A newer robot that is way different from the previous one. He is more of a taller robot and has a new visor and a new helmet. He was killed by a space pirate while trying to rescue SARA in an online comic.
Hosting Period: September 23, 2000-March 14, 2003
TOM 3
This TOM now has a darker suit and a new spaceship and also a new SARA. Instead of being a blurry blue hologram she is now a white & clearer hologram. TOM also has the old Toonami logo on his suit. It is not known why the Toonami team replaced TOM 3. TOM also had bulkier shoulders and a different style of helmet.

TOM 4
Current TOM- The shortest and newest TOM. TOM now lives in a jungle base that the audience never sees from the outside on a blue and pink planet. TOM is only seen when he does game reviews and in the introduction to the show.

SARA
SARA was TOM's assistant until the Flowus 3 format that debuted on Saturday, March 17, 2007. SARA is a hologram that would tell TOM what to do, or if there was an intruder. She was heard in TOM1's introduction on July 10, 1999 but not seen until September 18, 2000 when Toonami broadcasted its First One-week event, The Intruder. There were only two of them. TOM's current assistants are Flash & T.
SARA 1
She was a bluish hologram that assisted TOM until April 16, 2004. The next day when Toonami had its first Saturday night run a new SARA debuted. SARA's first debut was in episode one of The Intruder that premiered 9-18-00.

SARA 2
This SARA had a new look. She looked a more anime-like SARA than from September 18, 2000 to April 16, 2004. Her body was a ghost-like color and she was displayed on a projector. She still remained an aquamarinish color until April 17, 2004.

Current Era of Toonami
The newest era of Toonami has hit televisions in the US on Saturday, March 17, 2007 as a tenth anniversary. It is made up of 3 main characters: the main character/host: TOM, T and Flash while SARA is currently off-air. In this version, TOM and the rest of the crew have eyes and they also are using a completely different ship. The TOONAMI crew is also on a planet that is pretty much like a pre-historic version of Earth as seen in the very beginning Toonami's 2007 opening.
