Characters from the Current Storyline

Dino Boy

Known as Dino Boy to those closest to him, and known as "The Dinosaur" or "The Dragon of Grey" to the public, he is the main hero of the story. He resembles a humanoid therapodan dinosaur in tattered clothing. Dino Boy's alter ego is a brainy college student named Evan Nedelka who acquired his ability to change into his dinosaur-form roughly five years earlier in an accident at a NATURAL history museum. Dino Boy's full origin is kept very mysterious. In episode 4, he reveals that he isn't even sure if he remembers it all correctly. It is later revealed that Dino Boy has an alternate, more monstrous form (supposedly his true form). It is also revealed that Dino Boy spent a great deal of time reading and educating himself, thinking that knowledge separates man from animals, thus he could prevent himself from transforming into his monstrous state, and at the same time, educate others around him in hopes of promoting peace. The author has hinted that he used a dinosaur to represent the purity in his character-- that is, Dino Boy represents a world uncorrupted by man.

Blue Jay

Evan Nedelka's sister, Halle, gained the ability to fly using an anti-gravity vest and special shoes that propel her through the air. As the Blue Jay, she wears a blue cape and mask resembling the beak and crest of the bird she is named after. She has studied martial arts for years, granting her the ability to keep up with her super-powered brother in difficult battles against the villains of the story.

Will Watson

Evan's best friend is both a computer nerd and a strong athlete. He desperately wanted to play football in college, but his transformation hindered his dream, as well as his friendship with Evan.

The Monkey

The main villain of the story. He believes life is nothing more than survival of the fittest, and the idea of mankind getting along is a lost cause. He resembles an anthropomorphic tamarin, complete with prehensile tail and hand-like feet. He is constantly trying to get Dino Boy to see things his way, and when he fails at this, he lashes out at him. He has a taste for donuts. The author has hinted that while Dino Boy represents a world uncorrupted by man, The Monkey represents the rise of man's corruption. When The Monkey joins The Seven Deadly, it is suggested that his governing sin is pride.

Mirage

Evan's friend Will Watson gets "infected" by a computer program that temporarily takes control of his body. As Dino Boy, Evan accidentally injures Watson while trying to stop his rampage. This causes Watson to miss out on his dream of playing college football and thus, his hatred of Dino Boy begins. As Mirage, Will has attempted to kill Dino Boy on occasion, but it is later suggested that perhaps the computer program is still driving his actions in some way. When Mirage joins The Seven Deadly, it is suggested that his governing sin is wrath.

Testament

Perhaps the most controversial character, Testament is a vigilante who fights crime in the name of religion. Unfortunately, he feels that his religion has granted him the right to not only fight criminals, but to punish them by brutally beating them up. Dino Boy insists that this is not how a superhero should act, and Testament eventually comes to believe that Dino Boy is the devil. However, it is revealed in episode five that while Dino Boy isn't a religious person, he is far more knowledgeable on religion than Testament is. When Testament joins The Seven Deadly, it is suggested that his governing sin is sloth.

Lunch Lady

A former cooking show host, she seeks revenge when she gets fired. She uses her delicious cooking to aid her in her schemes. She isn't taken very seriously as a villain, as Dino Boy usually just ignores her or swats her away during a fight. When Lunch Lady joins The Seven Deadly, it can be assumed that her governing sin is gluttony.

Heartbreaker

She was once an attractive model, but a car accident sent her off the deep end. For whatever reason, she believes men are the cause of all problems in the world, and seeks revenge on all males. She uses a special toxin that allows her to control men's minds, but other than that, has no superpowers. She is used in the series to address issues such as double-standards and sexism. When Heartbreaker joins The Seven Deadly, it can be assumed that her governing sin is lust.

The Parasite

A.k.a. Richard Kranley, the mayor. Became The Parasite after he was force fed the hybrid formula by The Monkey. Is heartless, and only thinks of himself. He resembles a creature with pale flesh, tendrils, and stump-like feet. He is used largely as a political commentary in the series, and is believed to have rigged the election that caused him to become mayor. When Parasite joins The Seven Deadly, it can be assumed that his governing sin is greed.

Night Owl

A boy in Halle's martial arts class becomes frustrated that he can never do better than Halle, a girl, and thus takes an overdose of performance enhancers. This causes him to become extremely sensitive to light and sound, so he has to wear a protective suit just to live comfortably. However, the performance enhancers seem to have driven him mad, since he rarely speaks coherently as "Night Owl". He is considered Blue Jay's arch nemesis. When Night Owl joins The Seven Deadly, it can be assumed that his governing sin is envy.
