T.J. Kennedy
T.J. Kennedy is the founder and chief instructor of the self defense system the Hybrid Fighting Method (HFM). He is a martial arts instructor and nightclub bouncer.
Kennedy grew up in Waterdown, Ontario and has widespread experience in martial arts and self defense. While attending Waterdown District High School, he took instruction at the former Dennis Gray’s Tae Kwon Do school. He later taught karate to children in Ancaster and Oakville and also took private boxing sessions with former World Boxing Association #1 middleweight contender Syd Vanderpool in Kitchener, as well as three years of training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Ancaster and Kitchener and two years of training with Muay Thai and MMA world champions. He was also a Krav Maga instructor in Ancaster, Oakville, and Waterdown for five years and a Commando Krav Maga (CKM) instructor in Burlington for a year.
The HFM system is currently being taught in public and private lessons in Toronto and Burlington, Ontario.
