Timothy McFadden

Timothy McFadden is an artist from the United States.

T.S. McFadden uses mixed media including acrylic, oil, pencil and charcoal and his work draws from both the linear and the organic world. His abstract paintings on paper and canvas at the beginning of his career quickly established him as an internationally collected artist.

McFadden's work evolved in the artistically historic Hudson River Valley. Transitional and progressively more representational, it signals an evolution from a purely abstract beginning to a direction that explores representational elements and their relation to the abstract. The struggle to stray from abstract is evident, and why this is an important body of work in McFadden's career.

His career continues to evolve with his recycled series “MOTHER” which debuted with great success and sold-out at the International Art Expo in New York City. McFadden notes that "the kinetic energy found in the palette is art in its purest form — it is the unintentional genesis of intention." Both thought provoking and visually powerful, the series strikes a beautiful balance between logic and abstract expression. "MOTHER" has been lauded as visionary, unique and compelling, giving insight to the working mind of McFadden as a conceptual artist.

McFadden has sculpted and painted since he was a child and is self-taught but for a handful of private lessons. He was born in Norwalk, Ohio and raised in the country. He studied in the fine arts, graduated from Kent State University and has spent time in Europe studying other artists.

His artwork is owned by private collectors throughout the United States, Europe and Asian and can be found in fine art galleries.
