Thuggish Ruggish Bustaz
Thuggish Ruggish Bustaz is a diss song to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony from Memphis underground rapper, Tommy Wright III. The song came AbOUT after Tommy Wright read an article in VIBE Magazine which featured the Cleveland based rap group. During that time, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was in a heated lyrical battle with other rappers and rap groups which had the same or similar styles, among these rap groups were Triple 6 Mafia. In the article, the group made some comments about Triple 6 and their city, Memphis, Tennessee, calling it country. This derogatory remarks about the city was reason enough for Tommy to make Thuggish Ruggish Bustaz and feature it on his 1996 album, On the Run.
Diss
On the song, Tommy sampled from Bone Thugs' 1994 song "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" (as it clearly states in The Title). He also samples "Lay It Down" and "So High" from Triple 6 Mafia which are also some of the first disses made to Bone in 1994. Tommy dissed them through many of their hit songs. One in particular was their hit 1995 song, "1st of tha Month" & "Shoot em' up", stating:
- Tommy gonna wait till the first of the month, get Bone for they food stamps when we shoot em up
At the end of the third verse, Tommy even stated that Bone had homosexual tendency & was cheated by Eazy-E. At the end of the song, Tommy stated how he use to like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's music, but no longer liked it, then began naming various businesses that sell his music.
