The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!

The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! is an American indie pop band from Purchase, New York. They were formed in late 2007 out of a rock opera front man Neil Fridd performed at SUNY Purchase1 and as a means for front man Neil Fridd to "yell AbOUT his romantic mishaps".2 Their band name comes from what Fridd describes as an "idea of a really harmless, fragile creature being terrifying as sort of a mockery of myself".3 They're known for their outrageous live shows that primarily involves audience participation, as well as props and costumes.

History

In September 2008, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! were signed to Luaka Bop Records. They were asked to join the label after playing a music festival at the band's college SUNY Purchase.4 After joining, they released a 3-song EP titled We're Humans: BE AWESOME! on October 14.

In 2009, they won a contest to perform worldwide on the Diesel:U:Music tour alongside HEARTSREVOLUTION, as well as Peaches, Santigold, Cobra Starship and Passion Pit on specific dates.

Recently, the band released their debut album I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU AND I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU! HAVE AN AWESOME DAY! HAVE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!! in February as a digital release, and is due for a physical release on May 11.
