The Specials (internet TV show)
The Specials is an internet TV series AbOUT five friends with learning disabilities who live together in Brighton. Sam, Hilly, Lewis, Megan and Lucy have been friends since childhood and this observational documentary series follows their lives.
The five housemates are aged between 19-23. Lewis has Williams syndrome while the others have Down's syndrome.
The series was launched on their website on 2 September 2009 and is due to run until mid November with weekly 10 minute episodes.
The first series follows their lives as Lewis' girlfriend, Megan, joins the house. It also shows them going to a MenCap meeting and interviewing Alexandra Burke and Jo Whiley, and going on holiday.
