The Purgatory Hero: Crixtiques and Demons

The Purgatory Hero: Crixtiques and Demons is an OEL manga series created, written, and illistrated by Christopher Crawford. The series centers around a boy named Zenetchi, who dies saving a girl, and is then transported to Hell to try to unfreeze it. In the special chapter: Existence, how to character dies is similar to the beginning of the YuYu Hakasho manga series.

Storyline

''' When Zenetchi Kyote leaves his Uncle's bar from gambling, he is killed by a speeding truck trying to save a blind, young girl. He then wakes up in Purgatory, and meets an angel named Sokai who tells him that he's dead and that he has unfinished business. They begin to train for 13 hours. Then a bell is heard. Sokai is stunned because of what is happening. Zenetchi askes what's AbOUT to happen and she tells him that Hell was frozen by four previous Crixtiques that was sent to Hell, then to the Underworld and that Purgatory was becoming the new Hell. After hearing this, Zenetchi volunteers to go to the freezing cold Hell and try to unfreeze it and save Purgatory (hence the name of the manga). Sokai denies it at first,but Zenetchi convinces her to send him to Hell, but before doing so, Sokai tells Zenetchi that when he enters Hell, he will be given an artifical body. Towards the end of the special chapter, Zenetchi enters a portal and is transported to Hell. At the end of the chapter, Sokai begins to reciet a short speech that she was recently told. She said: "We will meet again Zenetchi Kyote. Hone your abilities, control your Crixtique and become...The Purgatory Hero."

Volumes and Chapters

There were only eight volumes serialized and 70 chapters made altogether. the special chapter was called Crixtique: The Purgatory Hero because its the beginning of the series. Its not really apart of any of the volumes. When the actual volume was made, it was changed to The Purgatory Hero: Crixtiques and Demons.

The first four volumes all had seven chapter each. In volumes five and six had eight each. Volume seven had eleven chapters. The last Chapter had 15 chapters including the last chapter being a bonus chapter that introduces the spin-off series called Crixtique: The Purgatory Heroine; which centers around a female character.

Crixtique: The Purgatory Heroine is a spin-off series of The Purgatory Hero. The series takes place 12 years after Zenetchi dies. A blind girl named Enaomi Oshimono who dies of the same truck that killed Zenetchi while trying to escape from a gang of men who was trying to [...] her.
