==MMA Career==
Following a career in football at [[Tuskegee University]]<ref name="abongo1">{{cite web|url=http://mmajunkie.com/news/14533/fight-path-fighter-ron-humphrey-also-a-student-traveler-and-philanthropist.mma|title=Fight Path: Fighter Ron Humphrey also a student, traveler and philanthropist|publisher=mmajunkie.com|date=2009-04-10|accessdate=2010-01-28}}</ref>, Humphrey began taking interest in martial arts from general grappling to Brazilian jiu jitsu and Muay Thai.<ref name="abongo1" /> He made his MMA debut in [[South Africa]] in 2002<ref name="abongo1" /> before fighting in the United States.
Humphrey was featured on the [[BET]] mixed martial arts show The Iron Ring, eventually winning the [[Heavyweight (MMA)|Heavyweight]] tournament. He signed to fight with the [[EliteXC]] promotion shortly before its collapse, never officially debuting in a fight.
In April 2009, Humphrey made his debut in the Strikeforce promotion and faced fellow undefeated Heavyweight [[Brett Rogers]]. He suffered his first career loss via TKO in the second round. He decided to move down to Light Heavyweight and is currently scheduled to fight George Bush III on the March 26, 2010 EDition of [[ShoMMA#March_26.2C_2010_card|ShoMMA]].
