The Nutty Irishman
The Nutty Irishman is a live music venue and nightclub located in Farmingdale, New York. It opened its doors in 2004 and is a springboard for many up and coming live music acts of all types and genres, primarily rock, R&B, and singer-songwriters from the New York City and Long Island area. Its sister venue, also called The Nutty Irishman, is located in Bay Shore, New York.
It is known throughout Long Island for its famed Monday Night Open Mic (or Open Rock) Night. Many national and local acts have performed here including Blind Melon, Wild Cherry (band), Collective Soul, Hit the Lights, Mat Kearney, Los Lonely Boys, Smash Mouth, KT Tunstall, and Vanessa Carlton. It was nominated and came in third place for "Best of Long Island: Best Nightclub" in 2009.
