The Ghost Writers

The Ghost Writers is a rap ensemble from Chicago, Illinois, that consists of Rapper Zack Wicks, Executive Producer Tyler Cohen, and Producer Carter Lang. GDub is currently signed to Black Mushroom Records.

The Ghost Writers are currently working on their debut album, "Not Your Average Rapper." The LP will have production by Clockwork, The Heatmakerz, Hi-Fly, Kajmir Royale, Mister KA, Panik, Shadowville Productions & Spontane, as well as appearances by R.A. The Rugged Man & a few Black Mushroom label-mates. The album will be out fall of 2007. Meanwhile, GDub, has just finished up their EP: We Run Chicago & Mixtape: The Prequel, both of which are now available.

Biography

Zack Wicks, co-founder and artist of The Ghost Writers, was born March 3, 1991. Since an early age he showed a love and appreciation of all forms of music. He began writing poetry in the third grade and because of his evident talent, he decided to begin rapping shortly after. He spent countless hours mastering his skills and has developed into one of Chicago's finest emcees. With equal parts of Nas and Scarface, he is able to BLEND a street persona with sophisticated ghetto philosophies with superb ease. His mixtape, "The Prequel" is now available and shows promise that he could one day be at the top of rap's elite. Zack is truly a diamond in the rough from Chicago's Westside, with confidence and a superb lyrical ability to back it up.
