The Ebon Librum

Behold the Ebon Librum...

The Ebon Librum is meant to be a repository of lore on the Infinite Layers of the Abyss, the chaotic-evil aligned plane of existence in the Great Wheel cosmology of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D).

Contained herein are those references to the Abyss that have thus far appeared in published materials associated with Dungeons & Dragons. No attempt has been made to limit the referenced materials to only those published by TSR and/or WOTC; doing so would exclude some truly excellent works produced by any number of d20 publishers.

The Primary emphasis of the Ebon Librum is to catalogue the uniqueness of the Abyss -- unique demons and demon lords, details of unique layers, locations, and denizens, and so on. Each reference must be meticuously referenced as to the source; it is up to the reader to determine how and where (if at all) the reference fits within his or her own preference for "canon" material.
