Test os

TestOs is an open source project, Test Os is founded to provide an educational Kernel which can be used also as a research kernel, developed by a group of student of the the National Institute of Computer (INI)- Algeria The Test Os ,(TOS), kernel is now in early development phase,, it's designed fo educational and research purposes but can be easily used as a kernel for embedded systems, the beginning of the project was in Juin 2007 by two students "Djekidel Mohamed Nadhir " & "Baghdadadi Mohamed Riyadh". TestOs (TOS) is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of GNU General Public License (GPL).

Why TestOs

Test Os is a kernel designed to help students and researchers to test their new methods and implement new algorithms without the need of writing a new kernel from scratch (just to try wether a new algorithm is good or not), they don't have to rewrite the Libc (C standard library) and even they don't need to write a bootLoader, all they have to do is to focus on The New method or algorithm they want to try , the kernel is well documented and commented so that they don't have to spend days and days trying to understand what a piece of code does.
