Temryss Lane
Temryss Lane is a female soccer player for the Ajax of America and currently takes part in Fox Football Fone-in, a weekly show on Fox Soccer Channel.
She is currently a host and show contributor on Fox Soccer Channel’s, Fox Football Fone-In (FFF) with co-host Nick Webster & Eric Wynalda. Pro-soccer player and model turned TV personality, Temryss made her television debut when the new season of FFF kicked off in August 2009. As a passionate footballer, the transition from player to sports personality seemed a natural one.
Temryss was born May 22, 1982 in Bellingham, Washington. She is of Lummi American Indian and European American decent. Training in ballet, competing in track, basketball and soccer, Temryss became a Washington State elite athlete but soccer became her specialty. She earned the title of 1999 NSCAA Washington State Adidas Player of the Year, NSCAA/Adidas Far West Region All-American Team and WESCO League Player of the Year and MVP. Additionally, Seattle-area soccer club Emerald City FC awarded her the Golden Boot Award in 1999 and 2000, an award given to the best female (and male) players in the entire club organization. She was also a member of the Region IV Olympic Development Program team from 1997-1999.
In 2000, she committed to the Women’s Soccer, Division 1 NCAA tenth-ranked Arizona State University recruiting class. Following a successful freshman year as a starting defender, Temryss reunited with the Region IV U-23 team to participate in the U.S. Soccer Festival. Starting at center-back She scored the only two goals in a 2-2 match against Region II and was named to the U-23 National Select team as the co-captain. Shortly after her U-23 National Team selection, she sustained a torn ACL, MCL and Meniscus injury in a ASU vs. UCLA match.
After college, Temryss was invited to join the USASA (United States Adult Soccer Association) in Mexico for 2008 pre-Olympic friendly matches. Later that year she travelled to Sweden to play professionally for Balinge in the top division Damallsvenskan (Swedish women’s pro-league). Now she’s a member of the WPSL (Women’s Premier Soccer League) team, Ajax of America.
