Fusion Photography

Fusion Photography is a trademarked name introduced by Jeff Burgess in 2005 to describe the combination of multiple photographs into a fine art image using various imaging software products such as Adobe CS1-4 and Paintshop Pro [fineartamerica.com/profiles/imagesfx.html ][www.redbubble.com/.../imagesfx/art/1666254-3-american-landscape][www.soleyne.com/artist/176-imagesfx, 1. The term was coined in 2005 and has been used to describe Jeff Burgess's work in a number of online galleries (above).

More recently 'Fusion Photography' has been used to define a new and developing type of photography that integrates video clips into picture slide shows. Fusion Photography involving video and stills began to develop when the Canon 5d mark II hit the market in 2008. This camera is the first Professional SLR to allow the photographer to take video in 1080p as well as take pictures on a full frame sensor.

It is important to note that Fusion is not videography. The videos are often very short and contain little to no sound. They are embedded in picture slide-shows of the event.
