Taylor Thompson (All My Children)
Taylor Thompson is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama All My Children. She has been portrayed by Beth Ehlers since July 24, 2008.
Character history
Upon the initial introduction of Lt. Taylor Thompson, very little was known AbOUT her history, aside from her obvious love of running. After several encounters and without so much as a name to put to her face, Jake challenges Taylor to a race in exchange for her name.
Around this time, it is revealed that Taylor was Frankie Hubbard's commanding officer when he served over in Iraq. Through this visit, Taylor states that she is the latest in a long line of soldiers in her family. Taylor attempts to present Frankie with the Silver Star, which he refuses. Taylor recounts to Frankie's parents that he was awarded the Silver Star after saving fourteen of his fellow soldiers following a [...] bombing. During this meeting, it is discovered that Taylor has been suffering from pain in her right foot, which may or may not be related to her last tour of duty. Frankie insists that she receive treatment for the injury, which she has aggravated from her aggressive running regimen, or she will be unable to survive another tour in Iraq. Taylor is desperate to return to Iraq, but doctors will not clear her for redeployment due to her injury.
When Randi Morgan saw Frankie hugging Taylor, she assumed something was up between them. This is when Frankie explained to her that he and Taylor slept together a few times overseas, but meant it in the literal sense of sleeping in the same war zone.
At the Fusion party for Bella, Fletcher grabbed Randi in an attempt to kidnap her. Taylor grabbed him in a choke hold, then (after having flashbacks of her time in Iraq) broke his neck, [...] him.
Taylor is secretly in love with Jake Martin. Jake is helping Taylor recover and Jake and Taylor kiss. Taylor is unware that Frankie knows that Brot is secretly alive.
Taylor now knows Brot is alive and is willing to have a relationship but Brot keeps pushing her away even though he's still in love with her. Recently Brot was put in jail for stealing another soldiers identity and Taylor asks Zach to help get him out and he does. Jake still has feelings for Taylor but puts them aside for her and Brot.
