Tattoo Temple Hong Kong is '''Hong Kong's largest body art studio. The studio is the first limited body art corporation in China.
Founded in 2003 and operating in Central, the business' main clientele is the SE Asia expatriate community. Joey Pang is the owner and operator of the studio.
Resident artists include: Joey Page who specializes in custom designs, calligraphy, color tattoos, all forms of traditional and modern Chinese/Asian styles. Wah Wong who specializes in custom designs, black and dot work. Kin Liu who specializes in custom designs, black and gray work as well as New School tattoo styles. Jodic Chan who specializes only in custom designs. Leon who specialist in custom designs and graphic style tattoos.
Tattoo Temple is also the founder of the world's first International Tattoo Academy (ITA) Programme. The course is 21 days of study and instruction. The programme itself is divided into four separate stages:
1) In order to understand what professional tattooing entails students will need to experience every part of the process; this ranges from the initial client consultation down to after-care procedures. This first section of the course provides an overview of the art.
2) The intermediate section aims to develop ‘strong and stable hands’. Focus is on more complex tattoo designs, practical tattoo application, the compilation of stencils, starting one’s own tattoo library as well as detailed studies of the more prominent tattooing styles.
3) The advanced section focuses on building an eclectic repertoire. Studies will concentrate on developing explicit talent sets such as Asian tattooing styles along with multiple higher level practical techniques. Business operations for studio and personal promotion, tattoo specific portfolio compilation, online promotion and networking skills will also be covered.
4) Going into section four students will have clearly developed their own tattooing style, built up a portfolio of work and feel comfortable practicing independently. The key skills developed here include full body plans, studio operation and studio promotion along with the most advanced tattooing techniques.
ITA students will officially graduate to the professional level upon completion of the fourth and final stage of the foundation course set.
