Take my hand (Theme Song) is the official theme song written for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA .It was written by the South African ballad singer, Steven Sterling and the song features the panpipes of Ryan Walt and the vocals of Steven Sterling. The song was premiered on South African national television, SABC 2 during CANSA's annual Shavathon event on 6 March 2009.The event was broadcasted live to many South Africans supporting the cancer drives in South Africa.
Lyrically
The Song was written with survivorship in mind. It speaks of living a life rooted in Faith, Love and Hope. Originally written for the artist, cancer surviving mother. The song however struck a cord with everyone involved at CANSA and became an anthem for survivorship.
