Syed Murtaza Amin Shah

Syed Murtaza Amin Shah is a Muslim writer, poet and religious scholar from Pakistan. He is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, English, Arabic and uses an advanced level of Persian.

Family background

He is the son of a scholar named Syed Khalid Hasan Shah. His ancestors belong to the Syed family of Allomahar shrief. His grandfather Syed Faiz-ul Hassan Shah was a well-known Islamic orator in Pakistan (his mausoleum is in Allo Mahar Sharif).

Education

Primary and Secondary Education - from Gujranwala and got his masters degree from Punjab university, Lahore.

Political career

He took part in the elections of 2003. The main aims of his joining politics was to improve the state of human rights and justice. He joined the Pakistan Muslim League Noon. His other aim was to remove corruption and the role of money in Pakistani Politics. His uncle Syed Iftakhar ul Hassan Shah almaroof Zahray Shah is a well known Pakistani politician (a Member of National Assembly of Pakistan in 1998). His other uncle Syed Hasnat ul Hassan Shah is Chairman of District Sialkot.

Religious career

He showed great concern when the caricatures mocking the Prophet Muhammad were published in newspapers around Europe. At present he is leader of the Allo Mahar Sharif religious family. He delivers lectures in different parts of the world. He delivers a main speech related to the topics of Wliullha (friends of Allah) every year on March 23 every year because it is day of celebration of services of his ancestors. A lot of peoples from different psrts of world join him at this moment.
