Summit On The Summit

Grammy-nominated musician, philanthropist, and "actionist" Kenna has organized an expedition to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro called Summit On The Summit to raise awareness of the billion people worldwide who lack access to clean drinking water. The climb will not only raise awareness of the global clean water crisis, but also raise funds for various charities and organizations.
Other celebrities, including Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, Santigold, Isabel Lucas and Lupe Fiasco, have also committed to the climb, which began on January 7, 2010. The hikers reached the summit on January 12.
The documentary of the climb is scheduled to air on MTV on March 14, 2010.
Pre-Ascent Event
Summit On The Summit held a pre-ascent event on December 9, 2009 at Voyeur in West Hollywood, CA. Celebrity guests included Jessica Biel, Lupe Fiasco, Isabel Lucas, Zach Braff, Justin Timberlake and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson.
