He moved around often as a child, from Los Angeles, to San Fernando Valley, and eventually Compton, where he attended Compton and Dominguez High School. In high school, Hasan earned the early nickname “Facet" from being known for array of talents. Hasan majored in Broadcast Communications at Valley and Pierce College at the age of 12, during which time he began producing music for acts across Los Angeles. At 15, he dropped out to pursue music, starting Horizon Records with his uncle Adam Jalil. While developing acts at Horizon, Hasan discovered his passion for visual design. He would later release some of his early material independently as “The Definition” album.

Hasan launched his visual production company Facet Studio in 2004, working with models, actors, and artists including Meagan Good, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Tyga, Matt Barnes, Blac Chyna and Draya Michele. 2010–12: Visual Direction

The shoot would be both Hasan's as well as Fishburne's first national magazine, and he would go on to photograph an array of talent for Blackmen. In 2012, he photographed a double cover for Blackmen Magazine that would be both the first national cover for American recording artist/actress Teyana Taylor, as well as the first national cover for American Model Draya Michele. During that same year, Hasan photographed national magazine covers for Angela Kardashian and Blac Chyna for Blackmen and Urban Ink Magazine, alongside American recording artist Tyga. Hasan would go on to photograph a number of artists for Blackmen and Urban Ink Magazine including French Montana and 2 Chainz.

2012–14: Powered By Facet

In 2012, after parting ways with Blackmen Magazine, Hasan ventured into talent management, beginning with then-girlfriend Miracle Watts. The two would later publicly part ways in 2014, fueling major controversy.

He would go on to manage several talents under the Powered By Facet brand, including the wife of American R&B singer Ne-Yo, Crystal Renay Smith, and ex-fiancee of American rapper Rick Ross, Lira Mercer.
