Stonegate Power Centre (Saskatoon)

Stonegate is a big box shopping area in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located at Clarence Avenue South and Circle Drive and is the second major big box shopping area in Saskatoon, behind Preston Crossing.

History

Stonegate's development coincided with the construction of an overpass of Clarence Avenue South over Circle Drive, replacing the signalized at-grade intersection. SmartCentres Inc. paid for the roadway construction. While the overpass was being constructed, traffic wanting to enter Stonegate had to use Circle Drive up to a temporary intersection at Brand Court, going through the Saskatoon Auto Mall. Construction began in the summer of 2006 and the first stores opened in January of 2007.
