Steven Fernandez

Steven Fernandez Esparza (born February 27, 2000), also known by his nicknames Baby Scumbag and Lil Cloud is an American amateur skateboarder, internet personality, musician and actor, best known for his prominence on the social media application Instagram and Youtube. Fernandez later went on to star in movies such as Search Party (2014), Los (2015) and Quest (2017).

Early life

Fernandez was born in Panorama City, California before moving out to Compton due to his father's job location. Fernandez nickname "Baby Scumbag" was given to him by a few professional skateboarders, and infamous cousin who was a skateboard videographer, when he was around eleven years old, due to being the runt of the pack.

Fernandez attended Patrick Henry Middle School in Granada Hills, California before being home schooled due to his success as a young entertainer.

Career

Fernandez started filming videos at the age of eleven, since he wasn't the best at skateboarding he started filming funny prank videos, his first viral video notably being "How To Get Girls At A Market!" which went viral over night on The Famous hip-hop website worldstarhiphop.com. Since the success of his video Fernandez filmed a few more videos similar to that in which Fernandez pranked people and involved skateboarding.

In 2015, thousands of teenage fans swarmed Stonewood Shopping Center in Downey, CA to see Fernandez and professional skateboarder Keelan Dadd, causing authorities to cancel their appearance and temporarily shut down the mall. Fernandez and Dadd were scheduled for a meet and greet at Zumiez, a clothing store in the shopping center. The line started forming outside the store's doors hours before event, with several hundred young fans crowding the mall, according to a statement from the Downey Police Department. As the event drew near, the crowd swelled to 2,000 people and the line stretched outside the mall.

Personal life

As of November 2015, Fernandez resides in South Central, California. Fernandez has five siblings.

News broke that December 2015, Steven Fernandez, Keelan Dadd, and Manager Jose Barajas were arrested for the alleged [...] exploitation of a 12-year-old girl. Now, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, the arrests were part of a sting operation set in motion. The three were charged with lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. The LAPD is calling Fernandez a "prime mover" in the conspiracy. Fernandez only being 15 years old at the time Fernandez’s attorney, Ryan D’Ambrosio, stated “evidence will show Steven’s celebrity status was preyed upon by other adults arrested in this matter.” D’Ambrosio also referred to his client as a victim.
