State Road 512 (Florida)

Locally known as Fellsmere Road, the former State Road 512 is an 18-mile-long highway that cuts a zigzag swath across northeastern Indian River County, Florida. The southwestern terminus is an intersection with SR 60 in Saint Johns Marsh, the headwaters of the Saint Johns River; the northeastern terminus of the former SR 512 (and current Indian River County Road 512) is an intersection with US 1 (SR 5) in Sebastian.

The former State Road passes through a variety of surroundings. South and west of its namesake city, Fellsmere Road passes through sparsely-populated wetlands and woodlands. Within five miles of an interchange with Interstate 95 (SR 9), CR 512 passes through a small city (Fellsmere) and between a residential development (Vero Lake Estates) and Saint Sebastian River Preserve State Park. The easternmost section (east of 90th Avenue, former SR 510 and current CR 510) is entirely an urban access road within the Sebastian city limits. County Road 512 provides access to Sebastian Municipal Airport via Barber Street and Main Street.
