The Spectra Music Group is a United States music company founded in February 1997 comprising the independent record company Spectra Records—which is based in the United States—and Artceps Music Publishing.

History

Spectra Records is an American record label founded by music-loving entrepreneurs in 1997. Spectra Records was launched originally as a rock-music-only label in 1997. By 1998, the label's musical base was expanded to include all genres of music and became an avenue for Spectra's A&R department to sign newer artists and expand globally, which at the time leaned on signing better-known or already-established artists. Many of Spectra's signings were newer pop, rock & roll, Americana, and country artists in nature, where Spectra had better-known mainstream popular artists.

Trademark

Spectra Records black and white logo became a familiar trademark for many rock and classic rock releases. The slightly classic altered microphone lead to instant name recognition whenever the logo was spotted. Spectra Records is a registered Trademark of Spectra Music Group.

Music

Years later, Spectra earned its first gold record and developed into a formidable hit-making force in rock and roll, pop, and country music. Among its many acts, it currently includes Lou Gramm, T.Rex, Razzy Bailey, [...] Crew, Taj Weekes, Catya Mare, Paul Young and The Hitchers. Several of the British artists on The Spectra roster in the 1990s were the result of the label's distribution deal before its expansion to a wider range of music.
