SNAP Interactive ([http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/stvi| STVI]) is a publicly traded American-based computer software and social media company.
Background
The company was co-founded by Darrell and Cliff Lerner in 2005 by raising funds privately from friends and family. The company went public in 2006.
In November 2006, SNAP Interactive launched IamFreeTonight.com. In May 2007, Facebook opened ITS Platform to independent developers and they created the Facebook app MeetNewPeople, which drove traffic to IAmFreeTonight.com. The Lerners shut down the site later in 2007 to transition the business entirely to building on Facebook. The company launched AreYouInterested.com on Facebook on August 14, 2007.

Products
SNAP Interactive owns and operates AYI.com, an online dating website. It also offers a completely integrated Facebook app, iOS app, and Android app. AYI has over 70 million Facebook installs and 2 million monthly unique visitors.
