Silvermead Family

The Silvermeads are a fictional family in the Kiesha'ra Series by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Through the millennial war they were soldiers with the rest of the avians, however some family members were bodyguards. for the sake of clarity this article will only focus on the Silvermeads mentioned in the series.

Valene Silvermead

Valene Silvermead (b. 734) is a scholar and raven-type avian. She has studied in many lands including those of the White City, Serpiente, and Human. During a study of the seal of Alisdair she found that the seal was quite similar to the Ahnleh used by the Serpiente. she hypothesized that the two completely different civilizations were one. When she presented her findings to the Reigning Tuuli Thea (Nacola Shardae) she was Banished from the avian court.

Valene began living on the very edge of avian lands and continued studying. When Syfka arrived searching for Sebastian The New Tuuli Thea Danica Shardae and her husband Zane Cobriana sent Andreios to find her. After both Erica and Andreios were captured Danica and Zane sent Valene with the plea to release them. She succeeded, but the falcons would not let her back into the White City or she would be killed on sight.

Erica Silvermead

Erica Silvermead (721-706) was a sparrow-type avian. When Kel escaped from the White City she landed near the Silvermead home and Erica's family took her in. Erica and Kel become good friends.

When Erica was mortally wounded in 706 Kel tried to save her, but coudn't. Kel dived with her magic into Erica and when the magic ceased Kel's form had changed into that of Erica's acidentally due to force-changing

Kel Silvermead

Formerly one of lady Cjarsa's Mercy, she left the white city and joined the royal flight of the avians when she could not bring herself to torture her best friend and partner in the Mercy, Darien (as explained in Snakecharm and Falcondance). She is mother to Nicias Silvermead and her alistair is Andreios the raven, who was also formerly a falcon.

Andreios Silvermead

The son of Araceli and alistair to Kel Silvermead. He possesses the royal blood of the falcons. After leaving Ahnmik, he was forced into the form of Andreios due to a failed force-changing. He hid in that form until Araceli came and forced him to reveal himself. His name was formerly Sebastian but he took on the name of the crow whose form he had hid in, Andreios.
