Shipping Solutions is an enterprise Software company and The Primary division of parent company InterMart, Inc. located in Eagan, Minnesota, United States. The company’s flagship product is a software program called Shipping Solutions, which is designed to help U.S. companies create accurate export paperwork, file through the Automated Export System (AES) and stay compliant with U.S. export regulations.
Shipping Solutions software is included on the U.S. Census Bureau's list of AES-certified software vendors. The Wisconsin branch of the U.S. Commercial Service, the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration, includes Shipping Solutions at the top of its list of export documentation software providers.
Founder and President David Noah has been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve on the board of the Minnesota District Export Council (MNDEC), a private non-profit organization dedicated to assisting exporting companies in Minnesota that works in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Noah established the company in 1995 as an international trading company shipping goods from the United States to Japan. In the course of doing business, he came to realize the time-consuming nature of completing the required export paperwork. He couldn't find an affordable software solution to help automate the process, so he created the Shipping Solutions export software as a solution specifically designed for small- and medium-sized U.S. companies that export.
InterMart’s other division is International Business Training (IBT), a website that connects people to training seminars, webinars and books related to international trade. IBT has twice been named by Twin Cities Business Magazine as one of the 100 essential websites for entrepreneurs.
