Senkoukai Karate
Senkoukai Karate is a full-contact karate style founded in 2024 by Indian martial artist Shaswat Kumar. The system integrates elements from Shotokan and Kyokushin karate, along with various combat-oriented training methods. Its methodology is based on the traditional pillars of Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring), while also incorporating joint-lock applications and movement patterns derived from animal-based concepts.
The organization follows a standardized syllabus featuring twenty specific kata and established regulations for full-contact competition. The style is recognized as an independent martial arts system by Masaki Watanabe, founder of the International Bujutsu Karate Association (IBKA) in Japan.
Based in India, Senkoukai Karate maintains an administrative structure to manage a network of affiliated dojos. The organization oversees standardized rank examinations for kyu (student) and dan (black belt) grades, and coordinates regional seminars and competitive events.
