Sharon Lin

Sharon Lin is an American high school scientist and writer who attends the prestigious college preparatory STEM-focused Stuyvesant High School. In 2011, she published her first young adults novel Hidden, which has since gained public acclaim. She has also won acclaim for her writing published in the Asbury Park Press, Muse magazine, KidSpirit Online, and the Yale Chinese American Student Association, among others. She has spoken at St. Johns University, Columbia University, as well as the Center for Social Innovation about her work.

 

In addition to her writing, Lin also conducts scientific research. Her latest work covers the effects of thermoelectric generators in the creation of nanoelectric cells.

She is also the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Cantabile literary magazine, as well as CEO of the non-profit organization Codeco. She also works as a founder and organizer of StuyHacks.
