Semanth is a photography website headquartered in Hyderabad, India.

Semanth.com was started in 2003 with the aim of keeping unique photographs with topics related to technology and living values.

History

It is aimed to target photography enthusiasts to share their valuable works. It is built on wordpress CMS blogging software. The code is in PHP and uses MySQL as backend.

Strength

Currently, it has 400 photos and is growing. This is a website for enthusiastic photographers boarding nice layout and user friendly navigation.

Naming

Semanth is derived from Sanskrit word Semanthica or Semantika which means the Daisy flower (in Telugu, Chamanthi). This is also called 'The INDIAN White Rose'. Semanth does not truly have a meaning, its a shortened form of Semanthika. The Semantika is a noun / name used for girl baby names. As Semantika sound girly, Semanth was used to show the boyish name.
