Secret pants

Secret Pants is a Philadelphia-based sketch comedy troupe, ACTIVE since early 2004. They are the longest-running consistently active sketch comedy group in Philadelphia.

History

Members of Secret Pants first met in a comedy writing class at Temple University.. Secret Pants began with thirteen original members, but only seven of those thirteen remain today (Brian Craig, Brian Kelly, Bryce Remsburg, Samantha Russell, Steve Thorne, Paul Triggiani, and Larry Wiechecki)

Videos

Secret Pants has written and produced over sixty video sketches[7]. Their videos have been featured on CollegeHumor.com, eBaumsWorld, ComedySmack, Comedy Central Insider, The FUSE Network and Philadelphia Weekly Online.

In July of 2008, Secret Pants’ “Bush or Batman?” received national attention after gaining widespread popularity online, specifically among Digg users. In September of 2008, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane picked “Bush or Batman?” as one of his favorite online videos.

Secret Pants continues to release one sketch every two weeks via their website, iTunes podcast, and video sharing websites like YouTube and Vimeo.

Live Performances

Secret Pants’ first live sketch show was in April 2005 at Muhlenberg College. Since then, they have appeared in numerous comedy festivals, film festivals and sketch shows, including the West Chester Film Festival, Philadelphia Film Festival and Philadelphia Sketch Fest. Secret Pants has opened for national touring comedians Neil Hamburger and Bruce Bruce, and they perform regularly at the Philadelphia comedy shows Ministry of Secret Jokes, Steal This Show and Bedtime Stories.

Awards

Secret Pants was the winner of the “Dirtiest Sketch in Philadelphia” competition in 2007 and 2008.
