Sam Trimble (American designer)
Sam Trimble grew up in Alaska and Hawaii, received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in 1987 and Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1990. He was a Fulbright Scholar to Italy in 1991 and won the IIDA Will Ching Prize in 2005. Sam Trimble’s work has been featured in a number of publications including the cover of the “AD 100: The Worlds Top Designers and Architects” from Architectural Digest
Sam Trimble was a student of Rafael Moneo (Pritzker Prize 1996) at Harvard University, has worked for Peter Marino (on Barneys & high end residential), Rockwell Group (on restaurants), and went solo in 2001. He collaborates frequently with his brother Vance Trimble and with decorator Jack C. Anderson.
Based in New York City, Sam Trimble has designed projects in New York, Miami, San Francisco, Anchorage, Tokyo, Cannes, and London. His clients include: Bryan Lourd (Director of CAA, Creative Arts Agency), John Richardson (Picasso Biographer), Jann Wenner (Founder of Rollingstone Magazine), Mike Nichols & Diane Sawyer, Kevin Roberts (CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide), Bing Gordon (CCO & Co Founder of Electronic Arts and Partner at Kleiner Perkins), Jack Stahl (former President of Revlon & former President of Coca Cola), Robert De Niro , Glenn Dubin, Dr. Lisa Airan, and The Metropolitan Opera amongst others.
