Sakit Mammadov (painter)
Sakit Gulam oğlu Mammadov (born 5 August 1958, Neftchala District) — is a People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2018),professor (2018), member of the UNESCO Artists Association, honorary professor of the European Academy of Natural Sciences, Count of the Vatican Academy of Heraldry, full member of the World Academy of Arts, honorary member of the Russian Imperial Academy of Arts, honorary member of the Rome Academy of Contemporary Art, full member of the World Art Academy, and full member of the "Turkic World" Academy. He is also an academician of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and the first president and chairman of the board of the Academy of Arts of the Turkic-Speaking States.
Biography
Sakit Mammadov was born on 5 August 1958, in the city of Neftchala. In 1978, he graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade. Having served in the military from 1978 to 1980, S. Mammadov entered the Faculty of Painting at the Ilya Repin Leningrad Academy of Arts in 1981 and graduated with honors in 1987.
He is fluent in Russian and Turkish. He is married and has three children and three grandchildren. His children — Nizar Mammadov, Jasar Mammadov, and Aynur Mammadova — are also engaged in artistic activities.

Since 1987, and up to the present day, Sakit Mammadov has held numerous exhibitions in various countries. His exhibitions have been organized in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Egypt, China, Australia, England, Scotland, Georgia, the Republic of Tatarstan, Singapore, and Portugal.
