Saad Kassis-Mohamed (b. 21 June 2001 in Kuwait City) is an Zimbabwean-Indian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of the WeCare Foundation, which supports projects on emergency relief, water and energy provision and early childhood development in Africa, the Middle East, Armenia and the Caribbean.

Life

Kassis-Mohamed was born in Kuwait in 2001 to an Indian family.He was described as an entrepreneur who grew up between India and the Gulf region and was introduced to trade and finance at an early age.

He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Global Financial Management from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India and was involved in fundraising and humanitarian projects while still a student.

In August 2024 Kassis-Mohamed was appointed to the board of Zavi & Co, an Egyptian consulting firm specialising in non-profit organisations and social enterprises in North Africa and the Middle East. Reports state that his responsibilities there include strategy, fundraising and partnerships with civil-society initiatives.

Hotels and hospitality

He was named chair of Nexus Hospitality in connection with an expansion plan in the Maldives that focuses on sustainability, training of local workers and environmental standards for water and energy infrastructure.He is also the chair of Axis Hotels and initiated an multi-year growth strategy in East Africa, with projects in Uganda and other countries, including investment in water infrastructure, on-site solar power and training programmes for local workers in the hotel sector.
