Russ Riesinger
Russ Riesinger is a television news anchor for WSAV-TV, the NBC Affiliate in Savannah, Georgia. He joined the WSAV-TV News 3 in January 2004. Russ has more than two decades of television news experience. He's reported on everything from Presidential Campaigns to Baseball's World Series to some of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast.
Riesinger came to WSAV-TV from WCNC-TV in Charlotte, NC, where he spent nearly six years (1998-2003) And Co-anchored North Carolina's "AP Best Newscast" for three straight years. He was also the Main Anchor at WCHS-TV in Charleston, WV (1995-1998) and an Anchor/Reporter for WTVD-TV in Durham, NC (1991-1995).
Before moving into news, Russ worked as a sportscaster at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, TN (1986-1991), where he covered SEC Football and Basketball and the Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and Hawks. He also covered sports in Joplin, MO (1983-1986) and Billings, MT (1981-1983), where he began his television career.
Russ is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.
