Rotatable PlayStation Logo

The PlayStation 2 Rotatable Logo is a small plastic version of the Playstation product family logo featured on all versions of the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 video game consoles. It can be turned clockwise 90 degrees to correspond with the horizontal or vertical positioning of the console. It may only be rotated within this 90 degrees. It serves no other purpose other than cosmetic.

Positioning

Original PlayStation 2

On the original PlayStation 2 the logo is located in the center of the end of the disk tray and moves out with the tray when it is opened.

Slimline PlayStation 2

On the revised slimline model of the PlayStation 2, the logo is located between the Power and Open buttons. It is stationary.

PlayStation 3

On the PlayStation 3, the logo is located above the disk slot. Since the surface it is placed on is slanted, the logo is still visible when the console is looked at directly from the front (or above, if the console is in a horizontal orientation).
