Ross' first experience of League Of Wales football in 1999-00 with Flexsys Cefn Druids, where he made 29 appearances, 15 of which were starts, scoring three goals.
In 2000-01, he joined Oswestry Town F.C., along with twin brother Brett and elder brother Ryan. In 26 appearances for "The Tractor Boys", Ross netted three goals
The following season, 2001-02, has been Jefferies most successful by far, scoring 16 goals in 28 Welsh Premier appearances on his return to Flexsys Cefn Druids, finishing as the Ancients top scorer as they reached the semi-final of the Welsh Cup for the first time in 98 years.
Ross' 2002-03 season was a stop-start affair as after joining Unibond League club Colwyn Bay F.C. and then swiftly onto Bangor City, he spent nine weeks in prison for an alleged assault. The day after coming out of prison, Ross netted two goals in a Bangor City win over Port Talbot Town F.C. at Farrar Road.
After 24 appearances in 2003-04 for Bangor City, ten of which were starts, Ross joined Welshpool Town F.C. in July 2004, along with twin Brett and good mates Dave Cunnah and Jimmy Hunter.
In 67 Welsh Premier appearances for Welshpool Town F.C. in three seasons, he has netted 12 goals
In October 2006, Ross took a five month break from football as he travelled around East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He returned in March 2007, to finish off the League of Wales season with Welshpool Town.
