Romulus Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Romulus invests in and builds early-stage technology and science-enabled businesses. Its name comes from the mythical Romulus, the founder of Rome.

History

The firm was founded in 2008 by Krishna K. Gupta while at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Romulus was co-founded by Anantshree Chaturvedi and Cankut Durgun and seeded by UFlex in India. The MIT startup has partnered with several seed-stage companies since inception. In 2012, Romulus brought on Neil Chheda to help lead its second fund.
